When you click certain links on PhoneCompass and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer or carrier. This is called affiliate marketing, and it’s how we keep PhoneCompass free to use.
There is no extra cost to you. Affiliate links always point to the same price you would find going directly to the retailer or carrier’s website.
What kinds of links carry commissions
Affiliate links may appear on phone deals pages, buying guides, plan comparison pages, carrier pages, and product comparison tables. They typically point to retailers, carriers, and wireless service providers. PhoneCompass works with a number of affiliate networks and programs, including Amazon, Impact, SkimLinks, FlexOffers, ShareASale, Rakuten, Best Buy, CJ Affiliate, and others.
Not every outbound link is an affiliate link. Links to manufacturer press pages, FCC filings, carrier coverage maps, and similar reference sources are not monetized.
How commissions are earned
When you click an affiliate link and complete a purchase, we receive a small fee from the retailer or carrier — not from you. The amount varies by program and product category. We do not receive payment simply for including a carrier or product in our comparisons or rankings.
What affiliate revenue does not influence
Compass Scores are calculated from independent expert reviews and are not affected by commercial relationships. A phone does not receive a higher score, a better ranking, or more prominent placement because its retailer or carrier has an affiliate program with us.
Plan rankings and comparisons are based on price, data, and features — not on which carriers pay higher commissions.
