Alcatel 3L (2020)

“The Alcatel 3L (2020) is a good entry-level smartphone, but will have a hard time against Redmi's competition. A real highlight could have been the 48 MP triple camera, but unfortunately the manufacturer fails to exploit the sensor's capabilities and creates bad conditions for this to happen at all with the Helio P22, as its ISP is not designed for this sensor at all. In contrast, the Alcatel 3L is excellent in terms of battery life.”

“With the Alcatel 3L (2020), the price is key and everything else is secondary. If you want to spend as little as possible on a phone, then this handset isn't going to let you down in any way, though you should make sure you know what to expect before making a purchase.”

“The Alcatel 3L (2020) is a device that fits right in the budget range, $199 outright but when you consider the $40 Vodafone SIM you can buy with it the value increases. It sports a 6.2-inch screen that is — like most other specs on the phone — pretty decent, it’s got 4GB RAM and an acceptable, but not great chipset. The 4,000mAh battery will get just about every user who shops in this price range through a full day without hassle. This isn’t a top-end phone, but it’s one of the best bang for buck options I’ve personally used in a while.”

“The Alcatel 3L rarely delivers above and beyond the kind of conservative confidence the price tag inspires but it doesn’t feel like a struggle to use in the way that some other budget devices do. It’s a modest smartphone that achieves modest results. It’s not hard to expect more but, at the same time, I can’t say that I really expected any less either.”
