To disable the talking feature on your Sonim XP8, you can follow these steps:

4. Disable or turn off the TalkBack or Screen reader feature.

It won’t let me go into anything, talks to me when ever I touch or move it and I can’t go to settings to turn it off. The damn talkback sucks

Hi Bill. I believe what you're experiencing is the Accessibility feature TalkBack.

Go to Settings -> System -> Accessibility -> disable Talkback. Hope that helps.

One of the cures for this is to take the battery out for a minute. Then put it back in. Sometimes this doesn't work the first time. You may want to try it a couple of times if it doesn't work.

The current text entry options are displayed in the top bar.

The various text entry options are:
• ABC: Enter all the text in upper case.
• Abc: Enter the frst letter of the sentence in upper case.
• abc: Enter all the text in lower case.
• 123: Enter the numbers.
• T9ENG: Enter the text based on the T9 dictionary. All the letters are in upper case (capitalized).
• T9eng: Enter the text based on the T9 dictionary. All the letters are in lower case.

Hi Sarah. If I remember correctly, there was an old phone I used that can use volume button to scroll thru pages. Can you check the browser settings if there's an option for that?

Usually a red LED light indicator means your phone needs charging. If you have charged it and still won't turn on, I suggest having your phone checked. You might have a bad battery that's why phone won't turn on.

Hi Don. Which carrier are you with? Maybe you don't have the correct APN settings that's why you can't connect to internet.

Simply connect your Sonim XP7 to your computer using a USB cable. Once connected, check your phone for a USB notification. Tap on it and choose Media device (MTP). Now back to your computer, open My Computer and you will see another drive for your phone.
