Critic consensus
“If you're on a budget -- and who isn't these days? -- and are looking for a phone that'll last you for years, the Fairphone 6+ is the ideal candidate. It performs well, feels great, is easy to repair, and costs far less than many comparable devices on the market.”
“The Fairphone 6 Plus is a repairability champion first and a performance phone second, backing up its screwdriver-friendly design with a genuinely bright, sharp OLED screen and solid battery life. Its Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip is a step up from its predecessor but still trails several similarly priced mid-rangers, and the camera setup is held back by the absence of a telephoto lens.”
“The Fairphone 6+ isn’t for everyone, but it succeeds at what it sets out to do. If you truly care about repairability, sustainable manufacturing, and modularity, this is the phone for you. Personally, I care about two out of those three — but its price gives me serious pause.”
“With affordable replacement parts, a five-year warranty, and updates through 2033, the Fairphone proves sustainability doesn’t mean major compromise.”
