Honor Magic 6 Pro

“High-end Honor handsets can easily get overlooked in a crowd of more famed top-tier offerings. But just because their Magic lineup may not be the one you think of first, it doesn't mean you shouldn't seriously consider the Magic6 Pro. It's not perfect, that's for sure. For its cameraphone aspirations, the Honor's video quality is a bit… unreliable. Certain specific circumstances can trip its camera in stills too, but those aren't that bothersome. Similarly, a few minor software peculiarities had us irked along the way. But that's really the magnitude of the 'problems' we had with the Magic6 Pro.”

“Honor has succeeded in further developing its flagship smartphone with the Magic6 Pro. The enormous battery life was particularly impressive in the test. But the features also have a lot to offer with fast charging, IP68 certification, USB 3.2 including image output and desktop mode, an infrared transmitter, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, eSIM support, and a powerful camera setup.”

“The Magic 6 Pro combines a striking design with the latest hardware, and the 5600mAh battery delivers the best battery life of any phone I tested this year. It also has noteworthy camera upgrades that put it alongside the best Android phones, one of the brightest OLED panels you can get today, and all the extras you care about. The software has plenty of positives as well, with Honor positioning AI as a key differentiator. If you're not deterred by the €1,299 asking price, the Magic 6 Pro may just be one of the best phones of the year.”

“Honor's new flagship checks all the right marks. It has some of the best battery in the industry, a great camera setup, and some intriguing AI features. The software is still Honor's weak spot, even if it's much improved.”
