“Ultimately, which Moto G generation you find better probably comes down to the price and your own needs. The Moto G8 Plus is in any case a recommendable midrange smartphone that offers a lot of performance and equipment for its purchase price.”

“The Moto G8 Plus brings several major improvements over its predecessor. Chief among those is the battery life, which is now among the better ones in class. The newer, beefier, yet more efficient chipset is also appreciated, as is the move to Quad Bayer cams, even if they do appear underutilized. Then there are the stereo speakers, which you can't really find elsewhere for the money, and the flagship-grade audio quality.”

“Overall, I’d recommend the Moto G8 Plus to those who are looking for an affordable phone with excellent battery life, a user-friendly design, adequate performance for the price, and a clean Android experience. It could prove to be an excellent device for youths who like vlogging and filming stuff with the Action cam. If you’re looking to get a mid-range Motorola phone these days, this is the one you should be looking at.”

“The Moto G8 Plus is a fairly unique piece of hardware in a highly competitive space. The action camera on the back is a great addition that makes a lot of sense for users. It’s a shame it can’t be used to capture photos as well. While it is too early to form an opinion on battery life, recent Motorola phones have done well here and the 4,000mAh battery should definitely help with all-day usage. Add to that the reasonably good performance and near-stock build of Android, and you are looking at a solid entry into the mid-range space.”
