Nokia 5.3

“Sure, the Nokia 5.3 is quite light and slim, it offers reasonable runtimes and also the power is sufficient for simple everyday use. The software is up-to-date and for the next two years you are on the safe side in terms of updates thanks to Android One. However, since the camera as a whole can hardly convince either and there are simply so many better offers from other manufacturers, we find it difficult to make a recommendation for the Nokia phone.”

“The Nokia 5.3 is by no means a perfect phone. The poor speakers and low-resolution screen don't make it the best choice for watching Netflix or YouTube, and there are a few gimmicky features that don’t always work very well, especially when it comes to the camera. Though the phone has some compromises, those who will be looking at a handset at this price-point may not be entirely put off. You still get a clean design, a large screen, a great battery life, and a decent main camera to get by - all the things most budget users are after.”

“Unsurprisingly given Nokia's track record, the Nokia 5.3 is a solid budget performer that offers good value for money. It's absolutely worth a place on your shortlist if you're looking for a new phone that covers the basics well without breaking the bank.”

“As long as you have reasonable expectations for its price point, the Nokia 5.3 does not disappoint. It's one of the better value smartphones, with its bright screen and capable rear quad camera setup. In many ways, the Nokia 5.3 defies expectations for what a budget device can be, proving once again that if you look around, there's always a gem to be found in the sea of ever so expensive smartphones out there.”
