Critic consensus
“The full-colour paper-like screen of the TCL 40 Nxtpaper signals a big win for the budget smartphone maker. If a slightly faster chip and a screen toggle button make it into a successor, it could become a very easy recommendation for a much wider audience.”
“The TCL 40 NXTPAPER is an interesting and different smartphone offering that uses the company’s display expertise to provide an experience that’s gentler on the eyes and a little gentler on the wallet.”
“The new TCL 40 NXTPaper 5G surprised me a lot. I was expecting it to be a simple mid-range device but it comes with a plethora of intuitive features. I really like the NXTPaper display and the feel of the screen itself. Matte is my go-to screen protector. But with the TCL 40 NXTPaper, I am happy with the screen. Even the back panel texture feels so good in my hand.”
