Xiaomi Poco M5s

“Thanks to its bright and flicker-free panel, the Poco M5s is an interesting alternative to the midrange competitors. It is unfortunate that Xiaomi doesn't include the corresponding quick charger with the smartphone.”

“The Poco M5s is an excellent all-around phone for its nearly entry-level pricing - splash-resistant design, AMOLED screen with high brightness, gaming-friendly chipset, versatile camera, and a large battery with fast charging. There are some nice perks like stereo speakers, audio jack, IR blaster, FM radio, 3.5mm jack. And we were surprised by its good selfies and selfie portraits, even expensive Xiaomi phones cannot match these features. All these niceties for around €200 make the M5s a killer offer.”

“The Poco M5s is a good all-rounder as far as affordable smartphones go. It has a sleek design, a bright and sharp display, a long-lasting battery life and a UI that is simple but still very customisable. The camera is a bit hit-and-miss with the 64-megapixel mode offering up some great results with lots of detail, but images have a tendency to be washed out and oversharpened, especially in tricky lighting situations. However, my experience with the M5s was generally positive and, for its price, I don’t think it should be written off at all.”

“The Poco M5s is easily one of the best entry-level phones money can buy, with solid build quality and head-turning design, impressive battery life, and general performance. However, its software falls short of the quality hardware, bringing the phone down a notch.”
