“The sweetest Honeycomb tablet we've seen so far packs modern Android goodness into a pocket-sized package, with a new OS version going far to solve Android tablets' biggest problem to date: the lack of decent tablet-sepcific apps. But the 7-inch Acer Iconia Tab A100's petite form means a too-small battery. Alas, though we're giving this great little tablet a strong recommendation, its battery woes keep it from attaining Editors' Choice status.”

“Somewhere, there's a niche for this tablet. It's mostly for folks who want a smaller tablet, but then they could just select a smartphone with a large screen, such as the HTC Evo 3D. Ebook reading worked well, if you can live with the somewhat glossy screen.”

“As 7-inch tablets go, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 is one of the most feature-rich we've seen, with a full Honeycomb experience (upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich), HDMI-out, and expandable memory. If your preference is for 7-inch tablets, the A100 has a low price ($330 for the 8GB version and $350 for the 16GB versions) and isn't likely to induce buyer's remorse given the quality of its Android OS implementation. That said, it's still a 7-inch tablet, and larger, better tablet experiences are less than $100 away.”
