Apple iPad Pro 11 (2022)

Design

The design hasn’t changed much from previous versions, but that’s not a bad thing. The flat edges and uniform bezels remain, keeping it sleek and modern. The square camera housing at the back and the placement of the Face ID sensors up front add to the refined look.

Holding the tablet feels comfortable and secure, even with one hand. This device is still housed in a sturdy aluminum chassis that feels premium to the touch.

The iPad Pro 11-inch in Space Grey and Silver oozes quality from every angle, making it an elegant choice for both work and play. A reviewer from Tech Guide noted, “it still housed in a thin and light chassis,” emphasizing its ease of use on the go.

Display(s)

The 11-inch display on the iPad Pro offers a sharp resolution of 2388 x 1688 pixels. You’ll notice text is crisp and colors are richly vibrant, enhancing your viewing experience.

Even though it doesn’t have the mini-LED technology found in the larger model, the Liquid Retina screen holds its own with excellent color accuracy and True Tone technology, ensuring images stay true to life.

A reviewer from Tech Guide noted, “The 11-inch iPad Pro has a gorgeous Liquid Retina display” which supports Dolby Vision, enhancing your media consumption.

Performance

The M2 chip in this tablet means you can handle demanding workflows, from video editing to graphic design, with ease. It’s a leap forward in power and performance, enabling professionals to maintain high productivity levels no matter where they are.

With up to 35% faster graphics performance and up to 15% faster CPU than its predecessor, this tablet offers a stellar experience. Adobe Photoshop, 4K video editing, and high-end games run fluidly and without hiccups.

Reviewers highlight that “it really takes things to the next level,” ensuring your most complex tasks are managed smoothly.

Software & Storage

iPad Pro 11 packs iPadOS 17, bringing refinements and features to enhance your productivity. Experts like the new ability to annotate and fill out PDFs directly in the Notes app, making it easier to work on documents.

Reviewers also highlight interactive widgets and improved Stage Manager, letting you customize and manage multiple app windows efficiently.

Overall, using iPadOS 17 provides a fluid experience but still falls short of replacing your Mac for all tasks.

Cameras

The iPad Pro 11 (2022) impresses with its camera capabilities. The 12-megapixel wide camera shoots crisp 4K videos and stunning photos even in low light. The 10-megapixel ultra-wide camera allows you to zoom out 2x and capture broader views.

Thanks to the new M2 chip, video projects convert to ProRes three times faster, and the image signal processor captures ProRes video. Tech Guide praised it, saying, “It’s a case of having to see it to believe it when editing videos, color grading and managing HDR workflows – on a tablet.” Whether you’re video calling, capturing memories, or scanning documents, the iPad cameras deliver smooth performance and versatility.

Battery

The iPad Pro 11 (2022) offers dependable battery life for moderate use but may struggle to get you through heavy workdays without charging.

Owners of the iPad Pro 11 (2022) can expect up to 10 hours of continuous video streaming, which Tech Guide considered decent but less impressive compared to competitors like the MacBook Air. For intensive tasks like photo editing or using the Magic Keyboard, expect around 5-6 hours of battery life before needing to charge.

If you’re someone who relies heavily on your tablet for productivity, this might be a concern, as noted by experts. “Overall, the battery on the iPad Pro 11-inch is decent enough for a tablet, but depending on the type of user you are, it might not get you through an entire working day and commute without needing a top-up,” highlighted from one source.

For those nervously watching their battery levels during important work tasks, the battery life might fall short of expectations, unlike the notable endurance seen in some rival devices.

Audio

The iPad Pro 11’s quad speakers truly enhance your audio experience. Whether you’re watching movies, playing games, or listening to music, the sound is loud and clear. This makes it enjoyable to use without needing external speakers.

When it comes to calls, the iPad Pro 11 excels with its advanced microphones. These microphones pick up your voice clearly, ensuring you can communicate effectively even in noisy environments. Reviewers have highlighted this feature, with some noting, “The four-speaker audio system with support for Dolby Atmos ensures theater-quality sound.”

Overall, these audio features make for a superior audio experience. Whether for entertainment or communication, the iPad Pro 11 delivers exceptional sound quality, enhancing your overall user experience.

The Bottom Line

This tablet remains a high performer with smooth, responsive operation, making it ideal for professionals who need high-level performance on the go. Face ID adds convenience.

While the camera setup is competent, it still cannot replace dedicated professional cameras. The display, though bright and crisp, lacks HDR support available in higher models.

The competition within its own product line and cheaper alternatives with decent performance make it a hard sell for some buyers.
