“For an inexpensive 10.1-inch tablet, the Lenovo A10 hits the mark on several aspects that many other budget tablets almost always miss. It has an IPS panel, sufficiently powerful SoC, large and bright glass-covered display, front and rear cameras, and a thin and attractive chassis. These qualities also allow the tablet to be much more usable outdoors compared to others in its price range, which is a huge advantage for buyers expecting to use their tablets outdoors as much as they will indoors. The optional 3G/SIM support and promised 4.4 KitKat update further cement the A10 as a recommendable low-cost tablet for users on-the-go.On the flip side of the coin, budget tablets usually exhibit a few obvious flaws right from the get-go and the A10 is no exception. Display quality is the biggest offender as the 1280 x 800 resolution screen shows washed out colors despite its wide viewing angles and bright backlight. It may not be as bad as say the IdeaTab A2109, but the larger 10.1-inch screen and low resolution compared to much of the competition accentuates the flaw.Outside of the screen, Lenovo have omitted a video-out port, which limits the tablet as a home multimedia device. Fortunately, wireless Cast Screen is still available should the user have compatible displays. The chassis also creaks slightly during regular use and makes the otherwise well-designed tablet feel cheaper than it appears.”

“The Lenovo A10 Tablet fails to excite in a meaningful way, but that's not really the purpose here. While affordable small-screen Android tablets are a dime a dozen, the larger screen format has fallen to the wayside for many budget-minded manufacturers. As such, the A10 comes in at a very palatable $300, and at the time of this writing, Lenovo is offering the A10 for $250 with an instant rebate. If your primary concern is watching videos on a portable device, the A10 is a nice option that's light on the wallet, especially if it's on sale. Spending $80 more can get you the year-old Amazon Kindle Fire 8.9, which has a sharper display, while the even-smaller Google Nexus 7 is $30 less expensive than the A10 and offers better performance and a more familiar Android experience. If you have the money, though, the Apple iPad Air trumps all of these options with its unrivaled selection of tablet-optimized apps.”

“If you’re looking for a low-priced 10-inch tablet and you’re fine with a low-resolution screen, Lenovo’s A10 is a decent choice with an IPS screen and good speakers (for a budget slate).”

“The Lenovo A10 is a portable and affordable 10-inch budget tablet with the rare perk of good audio quality. Bargain tablets usually cut too many corners to justify their price, however, the A10 skips the trendy aesthetics and pixel-packed screens to emerge as a simple slate with a rocking set of speakers. It's cheaper than most 10-inch tablets but its Dolby Audio stereo speakers sound like they belong on the most expensive tablet out there. With rich and full sound, paired with the Dolby app for fine-tuning, the Lenovo A10 is an audiophile-geared category of its own. The A10's downside is its averageness -- its screen and design are basic at best, and without the speakers, it would be another faceless release -- but if you don't mind passing up high-end specs in favor of a solid list of basics, the Lenovo A10 is an affordable option with unparalleled audio quality.”
