Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE

“The Redmi Pad SE is currently going for just €150, a fairly good deal in our books. We liked the display, the build, the battery life and the speakers. The UI is highly customizable, albeit too heavy for the Snapdragon 680 SoC in some cases. However, consider some of the most prominent drawbacks we found. The most annoying thing is the lack of an ambient light sensor - you can't rely on the automatic brightness mode. And secondly, the charging solution could be faster. Sure, the battery is big, but almost three hours to charge is unacceptable in 2023.”

“The Redmi Pad SE is a well-equipped tablet. However, you can get last year's faster model for the same price.”

“If you're looking for an affordable Android tablet that can go up against Apple's entry-level iPad, the Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE is a solid candidate. For under $250, it's the right mix of performance and build quality, all while providing a solid Android experience.”

“The Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE offers a tidy full-sized tablet at a sub-£200 price tag, but the compromises to performance mean that its use is limited beyond media streaming and light web browsing.”
