Who they are
Optimum Mobile is the wireless brand of Altice USA, sold under the Optimum name alongside Optimum internet and TV. It’s a postpaid-style service marketed mainly to Optimum home-internet customers, and you generally need to live in Optimum’s service area, across parts of New York, New Jersey, and nearby states, to sign up. It’s sold through optimum.com and Optimum channels.
Network & coverage
Optimum Mobile runs on T-Mobile’s nationwide network under a long-term wholesale agreement, so once you’re active, coverage is nationwide and tracks T-Mobile’s footprint. Plans include T-Mobile 5G, reaching its Ultra Capacity 5G where available on a compatible device. One catch worth knowing: as a wholesale brand, Optimum Mobile data can be deprioritized behind T-Mobile’s own postpaid customers once you pass your plan’s premium data.
How pricing works
Optimum Mobile is month-to-month with no term contract and no early-termination fee, offering a simple lineup of unlimited tiers with premium-data and hotspot allowances plus smaller capped-data plans. Pricing leans on bundling: the best savings come through Optimum’s combined internet-and-mobile deal, and dropping either service removes those savings. Taxes and fees are not included; they’re added on top. There’s no formal price-lock guarantee.
Who it’s for
Optimum Mobile suits Optimum home-internet customers in its service area who want T-Mobile-level coverage and bundle savings on one bill. It is less suited to people outside Optimum’s footprint, who generally can’t sign up, or to anyone who wants taxes-included billing or standalone service that keeps its discount after dropping internet. The alternatives below are worth a look if standalone, all-in pricing is your priority.
