Motorola appears to be reviving its One name with a new phone called the Moto One. The phone has leaked through a certification listing from the Wireless Power Consortium, the group that sets wireless charging standards, and through several Geekbench benchmark results. Motorola has not announced it.
The listing names the phone “moto one” with model code XT2771-1. It confirms 15W Qi wireless charging, and the image attached to it shows the phone’s design. GSMArena notes the listing does not include any specs. Those come from four Geekbench results for the same model code, which point to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. Notebookcheck describes the phone as a speedy mid-range model with that chip.
Outlets differ slightly on the details. GSMArena reports standard Qi charging, while Notebookcheck says the phone supports Qi2, the newer version of the standard. Notebookcheck also says it has a triple camera. PhoneArena calls the phone largely mysterious, with a fairly familiar design.
Motorola has used the One name for several phones in the past. No price or release date has been reported for the new model.
