Samsung begins rolling out One UI 9 to Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in the US
Key points
- Samsung has started rolling out the stable One UI 9 update in the US.
- It covers the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
- One UI 9 is based on Android 17.
- S24 phones bought from AT&T and T-Mobile are among those starting to receive it.
- The update arrives over the air and is almost 4GB, so a fast connection is advised.
- It brings the September 2026 security patch level.
The US release follows a South Korea launch. Samsung began the rollout there last week and then widened it to the US a few days later. Samsung usually starts updates in its home market first.
The coverage is a rollout in progress, not a finished release. Carrier-bought S24 phones are named as starting to receive it, and one outlet says the US is among the first regions outside South Korea to get the foldable update. None of the reports gives a timetable for other countries or for unlocked models.
