Critic consensus
“There is nothing evolved about the Alcatel One Touch Evolve. That's largely due to the fact that Alcatel had to make trade-offs when making this entry-level budget phone, and couldn't include the newest and best specs. For its price, I wasn't expecting a quad-core processor, outstanding camera, or brilliant screen, but the lack of 4G support and the fixed focus camera are deal breakers.”

There is nothing wrong with this phone if you're looking for a touch screen device that occasionally responds to touch and operates in the same way a phone from the early 2000's would (starting literally at 2000 to no more than 2008 in my honest opinion) however in the more modern age I feel the ...
My first smart phone .... no battery life. Slow, slow. Takes forever to even load up visual voicemail which, personally, I think is a pain to begin with. I can check my inbox just as easily and faster than it takes to load the messages. Could at least make a long-life battery to fit this guy. Wou...
This phone, I don't even think it deserves to be a called a phone, this specie is the worst product ever produced under the sun ever. My dream is to meet the owner of Alcatel and sit down with him or her and understand what the incentive was in making this phone and this whole brand. if I start t...
In Depth
The Alcatel One Touch Evolve is a modestly priced phone offering all you would expect from a basic device including a large touchscreen display, dual-cameras, and long battery life. Unfortunately the screen is apparently nowhere near brilliant, the camera is a letdown, and the processor is disappointing. Cnet’s Sarah Mitroff even went as far as to say that, “There is nothing evolved about the Alcatel One Touch Evolve.”
The overall sentiment of reviewers about this phone is that it simply isn’t worth it, even at its low price. If you truly can’t be bothered to spend any more money on a phone, then perhaps you could live with all of its apparent shortcomings. But if your budget allows for a little wiggle room, you might do well to listen to LAPTOP Magazine: “it’s worth spending more for something better.”
