Asus ROG Phone 6D

“The Asus ROG Phone 6D and 6D Ultimate are an interesting addition to the manufacturer's gaming phone portfolio. The ROG Phone 6D is a slightly more affordable entry-level device that comes without the second display on the back and has less working memory. The 6D Ultimate on the other hand features a ventilation hatch that slightly improves cooling and includes a separate cooling system for maximum performance. It is also the most expensive model in the entire series.”

“Putting a MediaTek chipset inside a ROG Phone is an interesting experiment and a fascinating first for the lineup. One that was bound to happen sooner or later. It definitely proved that the Dimensity 9000+ has the oomph required to compete with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in raw performance. Asus engineers did an amazing job overclocking and squeezing every last bit of performance from the chip. The addition of the Aeroactove Portal has undoubtedly helped them achieve this task. We had a wonderful time with the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. It chewed through anything we threw at it and did so in style with all of the usual ROG bells and whistles present.”

“Swapping Snapdragon for Dimensity has no noticeable impact on the 6D Ultimate – performance and power efficiency are still among the best you’ll find on any phone. But the impressive new cooling portal and included fan may tempt dedicated gamers.”

“What makes the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate special, is pretty much the same as what has made any other ROG Phone special: the multimedia experience. It's big and bold, but with its large, excellent display combined with the best stereo speakers we've ever heard on a phone, it's fantastic for gaming and consuming media on.”
