I just had the same problem. I got my new p9 lite today and wanted to transfer my sd card. That went good, but I wanted to see if it all want well, I opened the galery, clicked on a video and pressed play, the screen went black for about 0.2 seconds and displayed the same screen from before I pressed play. After some testing I found a different app called "videos". I opened it and accepted some terms and conditions, after that it all worked good.Β

Maybe it helps for you.

The possible reason is the network connection is too slow to load videos.

If your phone is running out of storage space, you need to clear the cache or unwanted files to free up storage space. .

If this video formats can't be supported by Huawei. So converting them to compatible format like MP4 is a good way.

Btw, you can even watch DVD on Huawei with some converter

Ok, thanks for letting us know. Does that also happen in YouTube? Also, can you tell us the size of the video? I'm using an older phone, I remember I had videos that lags even when I use different video player apps.

If you chose the specific data recovery app then you can get all your data back. I have lost photos and I did install " Image recovery and Backup lite" and with this a got all my images back. You can simply search for the specified apps on the Huawei app store or you can get this with google play store. This image recovery app is totally free.

Have you backed up them before?

Check out your backup folders.

If you did not backup them, there are some data recovery methods for you to recover them back.Β  You can have a try of Recuva and DiskDigger, they are professional data recoveryΒ  tools.

Hi, I have a Huawei P20 pro and my son removed the camera icon and could not find it. If I searched for the app it would load though. So I found this solution to find the app/icon. When you search for the app by swiping down there is a location icon to the right. Select the location icon and you will be taken to where the Icon is.Β  Hope it works for you.

I've lost mine too.. The solution to this is simple..Firstly, add an empty page(make sure it's empty without any widgets)..then,zoom in to the page as if you were to zoom into photos..your hidden apps will appear

Hope that it's helpfull

many tnx for reply, Carl P

no, i'm using a type c cable with a usb 3 plug. everything works as it should when charging another phone, taking hardly any time at all to recharge it.

as for the update, i actually received that just a couple of days after posting the original question. Sod's law, i guess! that seems to have made a big difference to several functions of the Honor 9, although, i must say, it still doesn't charge as fast as i think it should or as fast as the other phone i use

Carl · Answered

How's the charging now? This might sound funny to you but may be it's just psychological that you think it's charging slower? Do you have any battery apps installed since the 1st day you used the phone, maybe it has records of your charging performance.

Hey Kathie. Here are ways to free up your phone's internal memory:
• Move files and email attachments to the microSD card.
• In Browser, clear all temporary Internet files and Browser history information.
• Move application to microSD card.
• Uninstall any downloaded programs that you no longer use.
• Reset your mobile phone.

Hi Mimi. A reboot means a simple restart. Simply turn off and on your phone. If you want to reformat/factory reset/hard reset the phone, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Tap Backup & Reset
  3. Tap Factory data reset
  4. Choose β€œReset phone” option
  5. Confirm the action by tapping on Reset phone

Here's another way to do it:

  1. Turn off your device
  2. Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Up key at the same time
  3. Release the buttons when you see the Huawei logo on the screen
  4. Use the Volume Down key to navigate to β€œWipe data / factory reset” and select it with the Power button
  5. Wait for the process to be completed.

Hope that helps!
