Honor Magic 4 Lite 5G

“The Honor Magic4 Lite appears to be ill-equipped to tackle the competition. The software feels unfinished and isn't very rich in features, the display is LCD while most alternatives offer OLEDs, the loudspeaker quality is subpar, the camera experience just isn't up to the snuff, and there's no microSD card slot. Unfortunately, aside from the 5G connectivity, the good battery life with fast charging and the big screen, the Magic4 Lite doesn't have a lot going for it. And we are not sure Honor can leverage its past brand loyalty to entice users to get a product that's not very balanced, to say the least. Perhaps your money is better spent elsewhere, and there are even cheaper options.”

“The Honor Magic4 Lite 5G is a good mid-range smartphone. However, this review shows that it shares no more than the name with the manufacturer's flagships. If we adjust our expectations accordingly, the Magic4 Lite 5G is particularly pleasing with its large 120 Hz display. The Snapdragon 695 5G works smoothly, is sufficient for gaming and does not get hot. The battery is long-lasting and recharges quickly, and a suitable fast charger is even included in the scope of delivery. The verdict on the cameras is divided. Two of the three lenses on the back are more for advertising purposes, only the main camera is usable, while wide-angle and zoom lenses are completely missing. On the other hand, selfies can be taken reliably with the Magic4 Lite 5G.”

“The Honor Magic 4 Lite 5G/X9 5G is an impressive 5G device when it comes to performance, but its media potential suffers due to dismal speakers and bizarrely inconsistent camera results. And yet, there’s so much to like. The battery life is good, the screen is huge, and it doesn’t sacrifice power to chase that 5G dragon. However, those aforementioned rivals from the likes of Xiaomi and OnePlus are cheaper and have superior AMOLED screens so if they are available where you live then they make for better buys.”

“The Honor Magic 4 Lite offers good performance for the price, but it lacks a great camera and an OLED screen, which means it doesn't always hit the mark.”
