HP Elite X3

“The HP Elite x3 looks like a great solution for enterprises that want to consolidate their hardware layouts, are willing to buy into the full Microsoft stack (Office 365, Skype for Business, SharePoint, domains) and don't allow BYOD. If employees want to play Pokémon Go, they can do it on their own phones.”

“The HP Elite x3 is an excellent smartphone, melding high-end specs with a solid design and good user experience. The Windows app store is still underrated, and the battery lasts for ages. However at £699 without the lapdock, this is not a cheap device.”

“Windows phones are now the wild-eyed prophets of productivity, preaching Microsoft’s “cloud first, mobile first” gospel to a largely uncaring world. If a review must end with a buy recommendation, for an individual, my answer is a regretful no.”

“The Elite X3 might go down as a top-class device that barely made a ripple because it was too expensive to appeal to the average consumer and too constrained by the limitations of Windows 10 Mobile and Continuum to be widely adopted by the corporate sector. That would be a shame because I’d have no hesitation in recommending HP’s Elite X3 if it ran on a popular OS.”
