HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE

“There is plenty to fall for when you look at the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE. The smartphone has essentially carved a niche in the US market, which is yet to be explored by the competition. There are still plenty of people out there (including some in our office), who believe that any screen larger than 4 is simply pushing the envelope a bit too far. If you are among them, the DROID Incredible 4G LTE seems like a smartphone perfectly tailored to your needs.Of course, the smartphone isn't without its issues. Our biggest beef with the device comes from what Verizon Wireless has done with an otherwise superb combination of Android ICS and HTC Sense 4.0. The amount of bloatware is simply too much to handle and you can't get rid (or even hide) most of it. The Wi-Fi indicator in the notification area is particularly annoying - it has no place there. As for the rest of the smartphone's shortcomings, we do believe that they are much easier to live with, as they mostly boil down to individual preferences.”

“The Droid Incredible 4G LTE left me with mixed emotions. The 4-inch display is welcome, the price is good and performance is admirable. But I can’t help but feel that HTC and Verizon took the easiest, most cost-effective route here, delivering the slightest tweaks to an old formula and an unspired update to an aging design. The result is a Droid Incredible 4G LTE that simply doesn’t fully live up to the incredible name.”

“Is there an audience for it? Sure. People that demand a smaller smartphone, people who believe DROID means anything, and people who can delude themselves into thinking saving money up front by buying mid-range hardware is smart. It's not. Cost of 2 years of Verizon service aside, you'll likely end up replacing this cheaply built phone before your upgrade cycle comes due. As for lovers of small phones, let's face it: if you really want a small Android phone with 4G, a microSD card, and a removable battery, I doubt anything I say here is going to stop you from buying this.”

“The Droid Incredible 4G LTE is a strong addition to Verizon's lineup, as it offers nearly all of the power and functionality of a premiere Android superphone, except in a smaller form factor.”
