If you’re on a budget but clamoring for value, the LG Motion 4G might just catch your eye. It runs a newer version of the Android operating system (Ice Cream Sandwich), and thanks to a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, does so very smoothly. CNET’s tests show that “Opening large apps (like games) is a snap, the camera’s shutter is impressively speedy, and there was no lag time when transitioning back to the home screen”.
So what’s the catch? Well, this device is very small with only a 3.5 inch display. It is easy on the pocket, but when you try to do regular tasks like typing, you end up slowing down as you fumble with the display.
The smartphone has a decent battery life, lasting about “2 hours less than the average for all Smartphones”according to Techcrunch. The small build only allowed for a small battery, but at least, the dense construction makes it more durable than the rest.
The Good: One of the few budget phones that runs Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android, decent camera speed.
The Bad: Small display, poor battery life.
