“The OnePlus Nord N100 is a good choice for under 200 Euros (~$242) that offers a lot of features and long battery life. Ultimately, the details determine whether you will like the OnePlus smartphone: Do you like the software, is the good-but-not-very-flexible camera system enough, and can you get by without so much performance? If so, the OnePlus Nord N100 is a good choice.”

“The OnePlus Nord N100 hits a desperately needed sweet spot for budget phone shoppers. It impresses with solid performance, a bright and vivid display, and long battery life. On the flip side, its cameras are mediocre, LTE band support could be better, and the thin plastic backplate feels cheap. If you’re willing to spend up to $300, go for the OnePlus Nord N10 5G (our Editors' Choice winner for budget phones), a much more capable option with 5G. But the N100 handily outpaces the Moto G Play and every other US phone that sells for less than $200.”

“The OnePlus Nord N100 aims to deliver good value for money. With a big battery, 90Hz panel, and Oxygen OS, it's a decent attempt to keep up with the competition. However, to achieve this, it heavily compromises its camera, design, and performance. Ultimately, there are better options out there that won't need replacing as quickly.”

In Depth

The Oneplus Nord N100 shares many similarities with the Oneplus Nord N10. Both released in November, the N100 is the more affordable of the two options. Both have the same general design and are made from the same materials.

But looking inside at the hardware, a few differences emerge. Here’s how they differ:

  • Larger but lower resolution 6.52-inch display
  • 64GB of onboard storage
  • Slightly smaller 4GB of RAM
  • Larger 5000 mAh battery
  • Slower 18W fast-charging
  • 13MP triple-lens camera

Overall, reviews indicate the two phones offer similar performance. Neither will be multitasking powerhouses or top the benchmarks. But they’re both plenty for those everyday tasks and a bit of gaming or media viewing.

You’ll gain a little extra screen real estate but lose some detail. And, while the phone offers a larger battery, the fast charging is slower. So expect to charge less often but spend more time doing so.

Finally, the 13MP camera is a step down from the powerful 64MP lens on the N10, but reviewers found it more than acceptable for quick snaps of life’s events or social media use.
