Oppo A15

“At the end of a hugely productive 2020, Oppo released an ultra-affordable smartphone in the Oppo A15. It’s a solid effort with a large display and dependable battery life, but countless compromises – including poor performance, a low-res display, and a sub-par camera – dampen the sense that you’re getting a bargain.”

“The Oppo A15 doesn't really do anything wrong within its price bracket, providing a decent large screen phone experience at a budget price. The issue is that it doesn't really do anything to stand out in that respect either. You don't have to spend too much more – and in some cases or with some deals, no more at all – to get a better quality display, or faster performance, or snappier cameras, even within the constraints of a lower cost phone.”

“It is refreshing to see a good, honest, well-made, locally supported and ‘unpretentious’ phone. The camera is just above social media standard, and the screen is the stand-out. Yes, it has micro-USB, but that is to save money. Offset that with a headphone jack, buds, charger, and great value.”
