Critic consensus
“Overall, the Reno 16 Pro is a strong smartphone for everyday use, but it clearly falls behind its upper-tier rivals in terms of hardware and technical features. Those who do not value the compact form factor may find the Xiaomi 17T Pro a compelling alternative, offering similar strengths with fewer weaknesses.”
“The Reno 16 Pro continues to excel in the areas that matter. It may not have huge upgrades, but it does enough to stand out, and with the price correction, you're not paying anywhere as much to get your hands on the phone.”
“The Oppo Reno 16 Pro has a great set of cameras and build that let it sit comfortably alongside higher-end phones. A big generational price rise takes some of the sheen off, though, and we were little disappointed by its battery life given the impressive-looking spec.”
“Overall, this is a great little phone and if the price comes down just a touch, I’d recommend it to a wide range of people, especially those who don’t care about sticking with the biggest brands.”
