Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max

Design

This phone stands out with its new design. The camera plateau stretches across the back, providing a more balanced look. Reviewers from Wired appreciate the sporty feel and mention its utilitarian build.

The phone now uses a solid aluminum unibody, departing from previous titanium models. According to Tom’s Guide, this makes the phone lighter and improves heat dissipation. You’ll find it comfortable to hold.

With softer edges, the design is less slippery. The use of Ceramic Shield 2 on the front and back increases scratch resistance. Reviewers mention the improved durability and unique identification mark, especially in the Cosmic Orange model.

Display(s)

The upgraded screen provides peak brightness up to 3,000 nits, making the display easy to see even under direct sunlight. This feature is ideal for outdoor use, allowing you to view emails or enjoy videos without squinting.

Apple has added a new anti-reflective layer, reducing glare and improving visibility in bright conditions. Reviewers from PetaPixel note this new feature as a standout, stating that it results in “less glare on the panel when you’re watching movies or surfing the web.”

The use of Ceramic Shield 2 on the screen further adds to its ruggedness, protecting your Phone from everyday wear and tear.

Performance

The iPhone 17 Pro Max shines in performance due to its A19 Pro chip, providing exceptional speed for both everyday tasks and heavy-duty gaming. This model excels with a unique vapor chamber cooling system, managing heat more effectively so you can enjoy seamless gaming sessions without discomfort from overheating.

Reviewers noted, “Performance was significantly smoother than when I played on the iPhone 16 Pro last year.” The heat dissipation technology keeps the phone comfortable to hold, even during demanding use, making it a top choice for performance enthusiasts.

Software & Storage

Apple’s interface provides seamless operation, ensuring tasks are efficient and pleasant. Navigation remains intuitive with its organized layout and thoughtful design updates.

Storage-wise, you can choose up to a whopping 2TB. That’s ample space for all your media, apps, and files. It’s the highest capacity ever offered by Apple, letting you manage and store more without constant shuffling.

Reviewers praise the new iOS update for bringing refined control features, boosting camera and video functionalities while maintaining a familiar and user-friendly experience.

Cameras

If you enjoy taking photos, you’ll appreciate the changes in the iPhone this year. Its three rear 48MP cameras offer high-resolution images across multiple zoom levels. This versatility gives you the freedom to capture more of the world in incredible detail.

The new 4x telephoto lens stands out with its enhanced resolution and larger sensor, making your portrait and landscape shots clearer and more defined than ever. “The iPhone 17 Pro has noticeable improvements,” observed PetaPixel.

Adding to the fun is the front camera’s square sensor that lets you easily switch between portrait and landscape shots without rotating the phone. Whether you’re shooting selfies or group photos, you get excellent framing.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max offers impressive battery life, allowing you to enjoy up to 39 hours of video playback. This dramatic increase means less charging anxiety and more time for your favorite activities without worrying about finding a power outlet.

When it’s time to charge, the phone supports efficient 40W wired charging, getting up to 50% in just 20 minutes if you use a compatible adapter. This quick recharge capability is ideal for busy days or when you’re low on power but don’t have much time to spare.
