Critic consensus
“The X2 Pro is unrivaled in the affordable flagship category with top-notch performance, big 90Hz OLED screen, nice-sounding stereo speakers, premium build, stupid-fast 50W charging, long battery life, and the much-beloved 3.5mm audio jack. Perhaps the lack of microSD card support might put off some potential buyers, but the 128GB storage variant isn't much pricier than the 64GB model. And you get speedier UFS 3.0 flash storage too. At this price, it's an offer that's hard to pass on. The Realme X2 Pro is a no-brainer and will give the other big companies in the European market a run for their money.”
“It's slick and responsive, its camera is impressive (although it can't beat Google's), and ColorOS adds a few neat features over standard Android. If you have a budget smartphone and are looking for the next step up without breaking the bank, it's a solid choice.”
“Although it may sound cliché, Realme is trying to redefine the mid-range phone market with the X2 Pro, offering an unprecedented level of performance that will only be surpassed by much more expensive handsets. We especially like the variety of models and configurations to choose from, something which means you can get a 90Hz screen for under £400. For this and many other reasons which are outlined below, this phone is easy to recommend.”
“The specs are certainly very impressive, from the 64-megapixel main camera to the Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, not to mention the staggering 50W fast-charging capability and 90Hz screen refresh rate. But what really sets this device apart is its price, which is significantly lower than most other similarly-equipped flagships on the market.”
