Critic consensus
“The Sony Xperia 10 VII proves to be a solid mid-range smartphone with a modern design and a slightly improved camera in our review sensors. With the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 in particular, however, the manufacturer fails to provide a noticeable upgrade to its mid-range model, as performance remains similar to its predecessor, leaving system performance very limited. The Sony mid-range doesn't feel really fast. The front appearance should also be improved in the next generation. A Motorola Edge 60 Neo looks much more modern here.”
“If you're looking for a small, durable phone with expandable storage, a headphone jack, and front speakers, the Xperia 10 VII is bang on the task. However, if display punch, fast charging or imaging quality top your list, many alternatives will make more sense unless the Xperia sees a healthy discount.”
“It’s not a phone that competes on raw specs, nor is it trying to. What it offers instead is a decent build with modern aesthetics, excellent battery efficiency, good audio performance (complete with a rare 3.5 mm jack), okay cameras (for photos), and a smooth everyday user experience. The dedicated shutter button adds practical convenience, while the lightweight frame (168g) and IP65/IP68 rating make it an easy, durable carry. If you want a reliable, sensible, no-fuss smartphone, one that quietly gets the job done and carries a bit of classic Sony charm, without a bombshell of a price tag, the Xperia 10 VII is a dependable choice.”
