Critic consensus
“The Nubia RedMagic 5S is definitely interesting for gamers, but it can't make full use of its strengths. the fact that the Nubia RedMagic 5S's active cooling fan keeps temperatures low under load is undisputable. The shoulder buttons are easily integrated into the game with the appropriate software and performance is good enough for current titles. The device's design, workmanship and system design are also subtly but clearly directed at the target audience.”
“This gaming phone is an eye-catching gaming great available for a very fair price. But that comes with some compromises when it comes to everyday use.”
“You will have to decide if the bugs, x-treme gamer design, and poor support are worth the enhanced gaming experience. As a phone, you get some of the best specs out there at a mid-ranger's price. While the downsides are apparent, the fact this phone can chew through some of the best games on Android is a big selling point.”
“Disappointing lack of upgrades aside, the Red Magic 5S is a stellar gaming phone that deserves to be considered among the best you can buy.”
