Here are various ways to keep track of your balance:

You can also display your service's remaining balance on your phone's screen:

  • For Android customers:
  1. From the home screen, open the My Account Downloader.
  2. Install the Tracfone My Account App.
  3. Tap Open.
  4. From the home screen press and hold any clear area until the Widgets icon appears at the bottom of the screen. (You may need to install your Balance Display on another page or move some icons to another page if you do not have enough room.)
  5. Tap on the Widgets icon and select the My Account widget.
  6. Hold and drag the widget to the desired location. Your balance will now be displayed.

  • For iPhone customers:
  1. From the App Store, install the Tracfone My Account App.
  2. Tap Open.
  3. Go to the Home or Lock screen and swipe right.
  4. Go to the bottom of the screen and tap Edit.
  5. Tap the plus sign next to the Tracfone widget to add it.
  6. Go to the top of the screen to see the order of the widgets.
  7. If you would like your Balance Display to appear at the top of the screen, tap, hold and drag the horizontal lines located to the right of the widget to the top.
  8. Tap Done when finished. Your balance will now be displayed.

Note: For some phones, these steps may not work. Please visit Tracfone's Interactive Tutorials for more information on how to find your balance.

To save a picture from a text message on your ZTE phone, you can usually do the following:

  1. Open the text message containing the picture.
  2. Tap and hold the picture until a menu appears.
  3. Select the option to save or download the picture to your phone.

If these steps don't work, let me know the model of your ZTE phone so I can provide more specific instructions.

I saw this on another forum. I was having problems with the blank or black screen during a phone call but the normal screen would not come back as it should. First thing I saw that I tried was to wipe/clean off the screen where the Proximity Sensor was located(that is is just below the left side of the speaker/ear). The other thing suggested which fixed it entirely is an app on Google Play by ZTE. It is called Proximity Sensor Calibration. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.zte.ProximeitySensorClib&hl=en

There is another one there now.... look up
Proximity Sensor Repair. Seems to have repaired the constant black
screen over and over when turning it on/removing battery etc over and
over and eventually it would come on... but often when screen turned off
after 5 minutes .... it was black again with only the backlit part on
(can see only in ambient  light).

I actually like this phone except for the random rebooting that it does.  I have to do a hard reset twice now and as long as I don't add any apps the phone seems to work fine.  I contacted Tracfone and they said that ZTE had to fix it so I contacted ZTE and they said that Tracfone had to fix it.  What pisses me off is that they are still selling new models of this phone!!  It should be taken off the market!!  The rebooting will just happen at random times AND you can NOT update it!!  I honestly wish someone would figure out a fix for this phone because I really do like it but NO ONE wants to take responsibility for the crappy design of it!!

Sadly if your on Total wireless/ straight Talk / Net 10 / or any company that is owned by Trac Phone they have tried to be sneaky & unlock your phone without you knowing it from their location.. We found out no Zoe Quartz can be updated nor can it be unlocked even the provider can't.. If you call them they will offer you a $30 buy back fee but you got to give up your $150 phone.. We have 3 of these phones on our plan so we knew it wasn't something on one phone doing it.. All 3 was restarting at random erasing contacts & pictures 2 finally froze tonight & we had to do a hard reset on them! It fixes them BUT you lose your contacts everything else will be saved on your google account if it is set up to take a back up! I suggest doing a back up & do a hard reset you will erase everything on the phone & reset it back to the day you got it & it will work when done!! Remove the back take out the memory card.. Turn phone completely off.. Turn power back on while holding down the power & volume up button until a dead android man is on the screen.. Use the vulome up or down to scroll the choices choose wipe data reset.. The next choice YES you do want to do it! Then when the phone restarts give it a few minutes it will be as it was when it came out of the box! Log into you google gmail account all the apps are right there you used before the reset click install them all replace the memory card put back back on you got a fixed like new phone! We done 2 like this today the 3rd one tomorrow! Hope this helped you! Good luck!

Hello Carl P,

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Firstly, and with respect, the user manual
is next to useless, I downloaded it some weeks ago when I was expecting the
phone. It contains basic details only and then only half of the subject is
covered and you have to go online to find out the rest of it!

I just checked and I don’t understand the
details shown:-

Internal storage – total 2.13 GB. Available
293MB (What is “internal Storage”?)

Phone storage – total 2.75GB. Available
2.64GB (How is this different from Internal?)

SD card 14.83GB. Available 14.82GB. (I
bought it as a 16GB item, what would have used 1.18GB since inserting it??!)

I chose ‘phone storage’ as Internal storage
was selected previously – not by me, I hasten to add! However that would
account for the inability to download the app and the ‘insufficient space’
notification!

I shall go to apps and try to install an
App and see if it is allowed.

SUCCESS!! I installed the Adblock Browser
and it Installed OK! There is an instruction to download to a location, and I
shall choose SD Card when it seems necessary. As there is space on the Phone
storage, it seems to me to be OK to continue to use that. Unless you advise
otherwise!

Many thanks for your help!

I hope I don’t have to come back, but I
feel that that is just ‘wishful thinking,’ as this is my first encounter with
one of these smart phones, who knows what mysteries it holds in store for me!

Regards

Colin.

Hi there again Collin!

You can download the user manual by visiting ZTE Blade L3 page here in The Informr.

With regards the storage issue, it is pertaining to the SD card. Can you check Settings > Storage if there's an option to set default storage to SD card.

I'm not sure if you can move apps on your phone, so check it by going to Settings > Apps > Downloaded, check if the apps under Downloaded have the option "move to SD card". Otherwise, you will have to root your phone first to be able to move apps.

Bizarrely there aren't many heavy armour types for the ZTE BLade V7. Perhaps their hoping for mega orders on broken screens once we've dropped them and then once popularity also fades they'll introduce them onto the market.

Thanks for you answer. I just couldn't find much difference between the two and I'm finding it difficult to find a nice v7 grey case. There are loads of the lite ones out there!!!

. Go to "main menu", then click on "settings".

2. Under "wireless & Network settings", click on WIFI. Turn it off (temporarily). Then, hit the back "arrow" symbol on the upper left hand corner.

3. Go to "connect PC". Make sure the option "charge only" (charge your phone via USB is selected). Then, hit the back "arrow" symbol on the upper left hand corner.

4. (You should be back in "settings"). Click on "Cellular Network". Make sure "mobile data" is on. Under this SAME setting, (Cellular Network); locate "Access Point Name". (APN). Click on it. You should see "MetroPCS". Under that heading, it should show "fast.metropcs.com".

5. On that same screen, on the upper right hand corner, you should see the black 3 lines (the options symbol) Click on that. The only option that comes up is "Reset to Default". Click on that. It will reset for you, & you shouldn't loose any of your info, pictures, etc.

6. Try sending mms, pictures to someone. It can take up to 5 mins for the person to receive it after this initial reset.

I hope this will resolve your issues as well.

  1. Go to Settings > Cellular Network > Access Point Names
  2. Touch the + sign
  3. Check this page and copy the settings: click here
  4. Tap the menu icon (3 dots icon) > Save.

Now if you are receiving a message with attachment and still won't save to your phone, enable mobile data then try saving the attachment. Let us know if that works.

I have a ZMax Pro.  To save an image from the internet I tap the three dots ( menu drop) at top right of the screen.  Then you can select save and other options from there.  For reasons I can't figure out, the images I save won't appear in my gallery until the next day.
