Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

Design

You’ll appreciate the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s slim profile, only 5.1mm thick, making it lighter than many laptops. It ensures a solid feel thanks to the high-grade Armor Aluminum, even if some reviewers commented on its flexibility under pressure.

Carrying this tablet means lugging around nearly 692 grams, making extended one-handed use challenging, as noted by reviewers who compared its weight to that of a small laptop. The inclusion of the S Pen, which now attaches more conveniently to the side, adds practicality despite concerns about its magnetic grip.

According to PCMag, “The Ultra is simply gigantic,” emphasizing its overwhelming presence. You’ll find it available in conservative Moonstone Gray and Platinum Silver, “drab and conservative hues” as one reviewer put it, a reflection of its serious professional appeal rather than flashy aesthetic leanings.

Display(s)

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra boasts a 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED display. Experts highlight its stunning brightness and vivid colors, with peak performance reaching up to 1,600 nits.

The huge screen is perfect for work and play. Whether you’re watching movies or multitasking with Samsung’s DeX mode, the experience is immersive and visually rich.

Yet, the large size can be cumbersome. As noted, “The drawback of a large screen is… that it is too unwieldy and uncomfortable to use,” making it less portable for everyday mobility.

Despite its size, the screen’s vibrant quality tempts you to engage with it more, possibly impacting digital wellbeing with prolonged use.

Performance

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra excels in performance, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor. This chip enables smooth operation of demanding apps and seamless multitasking thanks to up to 16GB of RAM. You can easily switch between multiple apps, which makes working and playing on this tablet efficient.

In gaming performance tests, the Tab S11 Ultra exceeds expectations, providing a smooth and responsive experience. It handles graphically intense games with remarkable ease due to its high-performing graphics unit. “Gameplay was smooth with no dropped frames or slowdowns,” as noted by PCMag.

While the tablet’s benchmarks may not surpass the iPad Pro with its M4 chip, most users will find the Tab S11 Ultra meets all their needs in daily use, making it a powerful choice for both work and entertainment.

Software & Storage

Samsung’s One UI 8.0 on the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra introduces an enhanced on-device DeX mode, allowing you to organize apps in a more desktop-like workspace. This feature gives you a smoother multitasking experience, which is quite beneficial for professional use.

Drawing Assist and other AI tools enrich your activities. “PCMag praised the Tab S11 Ultra’s new mode, stating that…the regular app experience is on steroids,” highlighting its potential for boosting productivity.

You’ll also receive seven years of software updates, ensuring your tablet stays current for a long time.

Cameras

The camera setup on the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is adequate for a tablet, covering basic needs for photography and video calls. The rear includes a 13MP main and an 8MP ultrawide camera, which PCMag describes as producing “pleasant-looking images with good, but sometimes soft, detail, and oversaturated colors.” The front features a 12MP camera, designed for selfies and video conferencing with a “standard selfie camera with a wider than usual field of view,” according to Trusted Reviews. Both front and rear cameras record video up to 4K at 30fps, although reviewers note that the cameras can lack stability due to the absence of optical image stabilization. While not groundbreaking, these cameras are well-suited for basic photography and video purposes on such a device.

Battery

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra packs an 11,600 mAh battery, ensuring you can power through a full day without constant recharging. This helps you avoid the hassle of pausing productivity or entertainment midway through.

According to PCMag, “The Ultra lasted 11 hours and 10 minutes” in video playback tests, delivering a competitive performance alongside top rivals. This impressive stamina allows you to switch between work and play with ease.

When you need to recharge, the 45W fast-charging feature fills the battery in about an hour and 40 minutes, allowing you to get back to your tasks quickly. Note that no fast charger is bundled with the tablet, so you’ll need to purchase one separately to enjoy this speed.

Audio

The quad speakers on this tablet deliver superior sound quality for entertainment. Experts praised the speakers for providing “rich and full sound,” which enhances music and video playback.

Calling also benefits from these audio features, making conversations lively and easy to follow. The setup ensures that you can enjoy phone calls with clear and precise audio capture.

Overall, these features make the tablet an excellent choice for both entertainment and everyday use, ensuring you’ll hear every detail, whether in conversation or while watching a movie.

The Bottom Line

This tablet combines a huge screen with solid performance, making it suitable for work and media enjoyment. You get an elegant design and a good S Pen experience, though the pen lacks Bluetooth, which some might miss.

The large display provides an immersive experience, which is great for media and multitasking but could feel awkwardly large for some activities. Durability and long-lasting software support are welcomed features, balancing the higher cost with extended usability.
