Report: Samsung’s Exynos 2700 beat Snapdragon chip in Xiaomi 18 Pro Max benchmark test
Key points
- A South Korean report says Samsung's Exynos 2700 outperformed Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in internal tests.
- The Snapdragon chip was tested inside a Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.
- In Geekbench 6.5 multi-core CPU, the Exynos 2700 reportedly scored around 13,000 points against around 11,000 for the Snapdragon.
- The reported lead is up to 20%.
- The Exynos 2700 is expected to power at least some Galaxy S27 models, which should launch in early 2027.
- SamMobile says the Exynos 2700 will reportedly be used in every Galaxy S27 model except the Galaxy S27 Ultra, which is expected to use the Snapdragon chip exclusively.
None of this is confirmed. The numbers come from one report out of South Korea, dated October 25, and the other outlets are repeating it. Samsung has not published the results, and the tests were described as internal.
This is the second round of such claims. In August, insiders said the Exynos 2700 beat Qualcomm’s next flagship chips in internal testing. Those Snapdragon chips have since become official, so this time Samsung allegedly tested against the finished hardware in a Xiaomi phone.
The coverage differs on the size of the gap. Gizmo China reports a 15 to 20% lead, while GSMArena says up to 20%. The reports do not say how the Exynos 2700 compares with the Snapdragon on graphics or battery use. A single Geekbench CPU score is also only one measure of a chip.
