Critic consensus
“The 6-inch 2180x1080 LCD is the only standout feature of the Alcatel 7, and really the only reason anyone should buy it. The battery life is good, but the same is true of many other budget phones. The camera and software aren't anything to write home about.”
“The Alcatel 7 lasts a long time on a charge, but sluggish performance makes it painful to use. Spring for the similarly priced Honor 7X instead.”
“The Alcatel 7 is a sold budget option. If you're looking to pick up a first device for a child or parent, this could be a great option. We'd warn anyone who is used to a flagship experience away from it, but there is a lot to like here. Battery life and display quality are top notch.”
“The phone excels at battery life, outlasting many other devices in this market segment. At the same time, call quality is questionable and data speeds are average. The Android-based platform runs smoothly enough, but the camera simply isn't up to snuff.”
