It seems to be working now but has not worked on several occasions before. The alarm feature wasn’t coming up at the set time so I don’t think it had anything to do with the volume. It’s my Dads phone so we will just see how it goes. I was just wondering if anyone else had had a problem with this. Many thanks for your reply Carl.

Thanks Carl , yes I tried the one minute alarm to check it out. It wouldn’t work at first but then eventually it rang. It worked for a few days then Dad said it had stopped working so I tried it again. So far so good. It seems to be working at the moment. I just don’t understand why it’s intermittent.

Hi Westcountryboy. Have you tried restarting your phone after deleting all those files to refresh the phone?

1. Turn on your:

2. After pairing and connecting your phone to SYNC, press the Phone button to access the Phone Menu.

3. Press the Arrow buttons to scroll until Phone Settings displays. Press OK.

4. Press the Arrow buttons to scroll until Phonebook pref. displays. Press OK.

5. Press the OK button to select Auto-Download.

A checkmark will appear in the box next to it, indicating that this feature had been enabled.

6. Press the Arrow buttons to scroll down and select Download Now. Press OK. Phonebook Downloading displays.

When the download is finished, Phonebook Downloaded displays.

Note: You can download up to 2,000 entries. The process can take a few minutes, depending on the number of contacts.

Hi there Margaret. Sorry but can you tell us more about it? Does the phone instantly end when you try to make one?

All the preinstalled apps are protected from being deleted. I suggest uninstalling their updates then disable them. There are some that you can safely delete but still requires rooting to be able to do so. In my experience, I usually uninstall apps that I don't use, like those of Google apps.
