I'm sorry that we can't find the real cause. If you have time, I suggest that you have your phone checked as it will be easier to find the problem if you have the phone on hand. With regards to smartphone, yeah, it might drive you crazy at first. But as you use it, I'm sure you'll find it easy to use specially with tons of apps you can download for all your needs.

Nice try but the calendar's empty.  I guess that the phone has a fault and I'll just have to live with until it's time to throw it away.  Pity, because it's such a simple and easy phone to use.  I think a smart phone would drive me up the wall.  Thanks for your efforts Carl

I got the same problem in Doro liberto 820,which I bought for my mom.This constantly stesses her,because one time in 2-3 weeks allarm turns on everytime she is in the shop. And I can't find the reason of alarm. It is not set on.

No, there are no unread messages.  I'm pretty sure that wouldn't cause the alarm to go off, it would just show a small envelope on the start screen but thanks for trying.

Hmm.. Have you tried checking the calendar? Maybe there are events set there that sets the alarm.

My alarm also self sets , supplier changed phone but new one also has same fault .

Hmm. That's odd. Does it alarm on any specific time only or totally random?

Totally random and it happens about once every 2 or 3 weeks

Hi rsd. I suggest saving the contacts on the phone then copy them to your SIM card.

To copy your contacts from phone to SIM and vice-versa follow these steps:

1. Press Menu, scroll to Phonebook and press OK.

2. Press Options choose Copy All.

3. Select From Phone (or SIM) and press Yes to confirm.

4. When the contacts are saved in the SIM, simply insert it on the other Doro PhoneEasy 612 and repeat the steps, but now copy the contacts from SIM to phone.

Another option would be sending the contacts via Bluetooth (I'm not sure if you can do this in bulk). Simply choose a contact, press Options, choose send vCard, choose Send by Bluetooth (other options are send the contacts via SMS or MMS). When sending via Bluetooth, make sure it's open on both phones.

Hi Carl, checked her phone more thoroughly - turned out that the person who was messaging her had entered her number in her phone again without adding her name to the contact - so there was a duplicate contact!  We just couldn't tell because the contact just looked like a space in the contacts list, which wasn't immediately obvious because appeared in a place where you'd expect to see a space!  All fixed now, thanks for the tip! :)

Hi Sarah. Double check the contacts list in the phone. I remember back in Nokia days where duplicate contacts won't show up their name when you receive a text from them.

go to Inbox or Outbox or Sent - it doesn't matter because this methods delets all messages

Select Read on any message

Select Options

You will see Forward, Details, Delete, Use number, Use address and Delete all

Select Delete all

It will ask if you really want to delete all

You can press Yes at this point

All your message will be deleted

Gone for ever

One user posted that there's a way to group delete text messages in Settings, can you check that out? You can delete messages 1 by 1; go to Messages > choose a message > press options > Delete.

Hi Kelvin. Try to restart your phone to refresh network signal. Also, check your account balance, maybe you ran out of texts.
