“While the LG VX8600 for Verizon is not an all-around stunner, it is, with some minor exceptions, a very solid all-around performer. It has good looks (if kept clean), a comfortable shape, and solid phone and multimedia performance.Verizon might offer some handsets that are more flashy, more trendy, or more high tech, but most of them all have at least one or two real problems that would cause some users real concern. Apart from perhaps the keypad, the VX8600 doesn't really seem to be like that. It does what it is supposed to do with class and capability. When considered against the other phones that Verizon offers, and within the confines they place on their handsets, I give it a Highly Recommended rating. If you are not currently tied to a carrier, then there are a lot of phones out there that you should investigate, and as such the VX8600 might be better considered to have received a Recommended rating when comparing. But as far as Verizon handsets go, this is one of the better ones.”
