“For the price, the LG Cookie Fresh GS290 is a decent device, even if it won't be bothering most smart phones any time soon. In particular, the fantastically bright and clear screen is one of the best we've seen on a phone of this price. We have our gripes about parts of the interface, but the handset's very well designed overall, and we don't think you'll find yourself throwing it under a bus in a fit of pique. Before you buy the Cookie Fresh, also check out the similar Samsung Genio Touch and Samsung Tocco Lite, both of which now cost around the same as this LG handset.”

“Back in 2009 Samsung made a relatively successful attempt to conquer the market of affordable handsets with touch-sensitive screens by introducing the Corby series (the Corby S3650, CorbyPRO B5310, Corby Plus B3410, Corby Pop C3510) and models like the Samsung Lindy M5650. It seems LG intends to strike back in 2010 and try to win over customers with the new Cookie members.
