Critic consensus
“The LG Neon II, a texting cell phone for AT&T, improves on the original model in several important respects. It includes 3G support, it has a more svelte and attractive design, it weighs a tenth of an ounce less, and it has more internal memory. Unfortunately, AT&T's expensive monthly fees for texting phones leave this cell phone in the shadow of the much more competent smartphones in the carrier's lineup.”
“So it's another year and we're basically still unchanged with the unflattering performance of the LG Neon II. Not only does it retain most of the same hardware and design elements employed by its predecessor, but its overall performance did not budge a single bit. Even though its $29.99 price tag might prove alluring for some people, especially being a quick message device, there are some far better solutions available on AT&T's lineup that would offer an uplifting experience. And to make things worse, it doesn't play to the strength of text messengers with its annoying typing issues with its keyboard.”
“The LG Neon II has a simple and compact slider form factor, with a full four-row QWERTY keyboard, a music player, GPS, quad-band GSM, and 3G support. It's affordable as well. But its touch-screen ability is unique only to the phone dialer application. The 2-megapixel camera isn't much better than its predecessor's, and we dislike the touch-sensitive soft keys. However we applaud some of the feature updates of the LG Neon II, but it’s various quirks prevent us from recommending it as there are better quick messaging devices in AT&T's lineup.”
“The LG Neon II is a budget cell phone that gives users a vast selection of features. It doesn’t feel like a budget cell phone with all the included features, but the price tag tells you otherwise. The 2 megapixel camera, easy-to-use music player and responsive touchscreen are just a few multimedia features that enhance this cell phone.”

I love this phone as I do most LG products. Battery life is more than one day (compared to the smart phone I previously had). Its easy to use and I really like that you can push a button to end the call rather than having to swipe the screen 10 times. I could wish the manual was a little more com...
Stay away from this phone, you are gonna hate it. It's bad... really bad... I always have to reboot the phone because it has no RAM. This is my first phone, so i didn't want anything fancy but this phone makes me so mad. Its slow and has a tiny memory. I've tried to break it so many times but it doesn't break. I would not recommend this phone to anyone.
