LG V50 ThinQ

“The LG V50, Dual Screen case or not, is a phone that was built to excel in everything - design and durability, screen and pixel count, performance and multi-tasking, connectivity with its 5G modem, camera and video recording, audio playback and capturing, battery life even. And it simply does.”

“If you’re really excited for 5G and you’re a Sprint customer living in one of the carrier's early 5G markets, you should keep an eye out for the V50. But if you want LG’s most experimental ideas, you might have to give up on that 5G dream and spring for LG’s other high-end handset, the LG G8 ThinQ.”

“LG’s first 5G phone might be mainly a retread of the V40, but at least it shows the brand is interested in embracing the next standard of mobile connectivity. It’s just a shame the additional screen seems like nothing more than a gimmick.”

“The V50 ThinQ will be expensive, and with the second screen not coming to the U.S., the minor updates — which are uninspiring — aren’t enough to justify the price, especially since you’ll hardly be able to use 5G for the next year at the least. It’s still a solid phone, but from our early impressions, it’s not quite as robust as the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G.”
