Critic consensus
“The Galaxy A42 5G is a cheap 5G mid-ranger, which excels in everything it does - gaming, browsing, multimedia, office apps, and whatnot. It has a large AMOLED screen and a beefy battery to keep whatever you are doing for quite some time. So, yes, the Galaxy A42 5G seems like a great chap.”
“The Samsung Galaxy A42 5G is a modern mid-range smartphone with a low-resolution screen. For Samsung fans, the Galaxy A42 offers significant improvements compared to its predecessor, but those who want to get as much as possible for their money are still better off with other manufacturers.”
“The Samsung Galaxy A42 supports the fastest connectivity options on Verizon's network, but that isn't enough to make up a low-res display, weak cameras, and lackluster performance.”
“Regardless of where you get it, the A42 5G is a solid phone that packs exceptional build quality. Performance is snappy, even though you only get 4GB of RAM, and the large battery means you'll avoid range anxiety. You can also expect expedient and long-term software support, though the massive amount of pre-installed bloatware should have lowered the price a little further, in my opinion. Also, the cameras are just good enough but don't really offer anything special.”
