Critic consensus
“Big, strong and beautiful - the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is a fantastic smartphone without offering much more than its immediate Galaxy Note and Galaxy S predecessors.”
“The Note10+ introduces a handful of improvements over its predecessor - better camera experience, more camera and S-Pen features, better screen, more screen in the same size, thinner bezels for that 2019 look, better battery life, more convenient fingerprint reader placement and more importantly - fast charging that can go head-to-head with the best in the industry.”
“The Galaxy Note10+ turned out an unlikely favorite at the office. After repeated conversations how it's nothing all that impressive - little more than just an S10+ with a stylus, an incremental upgrade over the Note9, you name it - we know you had the same sentiments in late August, more people went ahead and bought one than in previous years. And, perhaps more importantly, we kept more of them into the holiday season than is usually the norm in our fast-paced environment.”
“Love it or hate it, it's hard to ignore the latest Galaxy Note duo. It's an important and influential device for a huge number of reasons. Whichever way you cut it, it's going to leave its mark on the industry. The very existence of two distinct Note10 phones this year offers a twist of its own.”

In Depth
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ is the top-end model in Samsung’s 2019 Note lineup. But it shares many similarities with the smaller, lower-priced Note 10.
Notable differences include:
- A larger 6.8-inch AMOLED+ display running at 3040-by-1080 pixels
- A larger 4300mAh battery with 45-watt fast charging
- 12GB of RAM instead of 8GB
- The 256GB or 512GB of internal storage with microSD support up to 1TB
- A 5G-compatible variant
- A time of flight (ToF) 3D depth sensor on the rear camera.
While the display is technically more detailed than that smaller Note 10 display, reviewers found little difference in day to day use. However, the higher resolution also means the expanded battery provides similar battery life to the Note 10.
Also, while the battery supports 45-watt fast charger, the phone only ships with a 25-watt charger. So plan to spend a little more to get the fastest charging available.
With 12GB of RAM, the phone is a multi-tasking monster but still not quite a necessity for most users.
Reviewers also found that while the ToF sensor helped with augmented reality apps and slightly quicker autofocus, the Note 10’s camera is no slouch either.
The real star here is the added microSD slot for cheap storage expansion.
Otherwise, the phones are identical. Many reviewers actually recommend the standard Note 10 over the Note 10+ for most users. For more on what to expect from Samsung’s latest release, be sure to check out our summary of the Samsung Note 10.
