Hey i've got S8 plus version searching for update since friday but its still not available i contacted the local samsung services they said its automated process we can't say when you will receive it.

Hi Fakhr. It's best to contact local Samsung and local carriers about the update. But you can expect it to come this year as other regions are rolling out the update.

After the update my volume is significantly lower on the speakers. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi Hooria. Are you always connected to the internet? It's probably those apps that uses the internet that drains your battery. I suggest that you force stop them if not used. Also turn off the internet (Wi-Fi or mobile data), Bluetooth, NFC when not in used to save battery. Also, lower the brightness and screen timeout to maximize your battery.

There is some tips that could save the samsung battery life for your reference:

1) Use Low Power Mode

2) Restrict Unimportant Notifications

3) Turn off Wi-fi if You Don't Need It

4) Do not Activate Location Service

5) Lower Screen Brightness

6) Limit Background Refresh for Applications

7) Tighten Up Auto-Lock the shortest period for your device, namely 30 seconds.

Actually, increasing battery life for Samsung Phone is not such a difficult thing as you think. To make your device run for a longer time, you only need to adjust some settings of your device like reducing the brightness of screen, disabling wireless network, quitting background software and so on.

That doesn't solve the problem. Pausing and restarting the video in gallery opens Samsung video player which is a separate app. Hitting the 3 dot menu in video player stops autoplay in the video player period when the video ends in video player, the phone reverse to the gallery preview and starts playing that again. It's very annoying!

That setting doesn't exist!  And there is no option to pause or stop, and the video progress bar is gone too, and absolutely zero options to restore any of it!!  What idiot software developer ever thought this was a good idea?!?

Hi Lisa. Which Samsung phone are you using? Try this: when the video is playing, tap on the 3 dots > Settings > Off - Auto play next. Let me know if that works.

Go to Settings > Language & input > Virtual Keyboard > Choose the keyboard you are using. Depending on which one you are using, you should look for "auto correct" or "predictive text".

Try to install custom keyboard app from play store or you can check language and input settings.

Hi King. I read from another thread that demo units aren't water resistant.

Yes, S8 live demo unit is IP-68 Water resistent. 

Hi there! Try using Adobe Premiere Clip (link), take multiple videos and use that app to connect the videos. Let me know if that's what you're looking for.

Hi Vinciane. Yeah, should be fine but you won't be able to utilize fast charging properly.

I wouldn't take a chance on that. Have your phone fixed by an authorized Samsung service center so the water resistance is sure intact after the display replacement. Next time, I highly suggest investing on a high impact case and/or a cell phone insurance. Based on my experience, it's totally worth it. Hi Bonnie. Did you check first if your phone is compatible with Straight Talk. Although I'm sure it should be. Have you tried using the SIM with other phones?
