Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G

“The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is not your typical Redmi Note, yet it is the one to shape this series and the next. This Pro Max delivers on its promises for battery life and charging; it impressed us with its screen, and it even managed to squeeze the maximum photo and video quality from the otherwise basic cameras. Even better, the Note 17 Pro Max offers an incredibly durable design, powerful speakers, and feature-rich HyperOS.”

“Yes, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max has the best battery life of any phone I used in 2026, and it looks and feels good to hold and use. The OLED panel is vibrant, and the main camera is decent enough in this category. However, the downgraded hardware combined with 8GB of RAM and annoying bloat-ridden software means there isn't much of a reason to buy this phone — the Note 15 Pro+ is still a better choice in every area other than battery life.”

“The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G has a lot of upside for a decent price. It’s got great battery life, a tough design and all the features you would want from a phone. Just don’t expect high-end hardware for a midrange price.”

“Though it has its faults, such as a middling camera set up and inconsistent performance, it’s difficult to fault the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max as it delivers on its promises of stupendous battery life and sturdy build quality. If what you want from a phone is multi-day longevity and a device you don’t feel the need to baby or put in a case, this is one well-priced option.”
