ZTE ZMAX Pro User Manual

My husband did a factory reset....still no working camera....We're going to send it back to the company and  pay for a repair.

Try to uninstall all the apps that uses the camera, each time you uninstall one, test the camera. Let us know what you find.

Did you recently install any app that uses the camera? Try to uninstall it and then test if camera works again.

They did try that solution at the T-Mobile store, unfortunately it didn't help.  Thanks though.

. Go to "main menu", then click on "settings". 

2. Under "wireless & Network settings", click on WIFI. Turn it off (temporarily). Then, hit the back "arrow" symbol on the upper left hand corner.

3. Go to "connect PC". Make sure the option "charge only" (charge your phone via USB is selected). Then, hit the back "arrow" symbol on the upper left hand corner.

4. (You should be back in "settings"). Click on "Cellular Network". Make sure "mobile data" is on. Under this SAME setting, (Cellular Network); locate "Access Point Name". (APN). Click on it. You should see "MetroPCS". Under that heading, it should show "fast.metropcs.com". 

5. On that same screen, on the upper right hand corner, you should see the black 3 lines (the options symbol) Click on​ that. The only option that comes up is "Reset to Default". Click on that. It will reset for you, & you shouldn't loose any of your info, pictures, etc.

6. Try sending mms, pictures to someone. It can take up to 5 mins for the person to receive it after this initial reset.

I hope this will resolve your issues as well. 

1. Go to Settings > Cellular Network > Access Point Names
2. Touch the + sign
3. Check this page and copy the settings: click here
4. Tap the menu icon (3 dots icon) > Save.

Now if you are receiving a message with attachment and still won't save to your phone, enable mobile data then try saving the attachment. Let us know if that works.

My 'key board is acting up

I have a ZMax Pro.  To save an image from the internet I tap the three dots ( menu drop) at top right of the screen.  Then you can select save and other options from there.  For reasons I can't figure out, the images I save won't appear in my gallery until the next day.

Grindale, that doesn't work on my Pro. It worked fine on my ZMAX but on the Pro nothing happens when I touch the image. HELP!

Just tap and hold the image until the option 'Save image' appears.

Solution: I turned on my camera, touched the cog in the top left of the screen, then touch the word video on the right side of the screen, and selected restore default at the bottom of the list, selected OK, then I exited out of the application. I restarted my phone and when it was ready, I selected my video files and opened one. Since VLC is my default player, a permissions box dialog opened, asking me to allow VLC the permission to play video. I selected allow, then exited the app. I restarted my phone again and the videos played with VLC again.

The problem: I use VLC media for video playback, but a recent update to my phone caused the problem. Because VLC is not the default app built in for the Zmax Pro's video playback, the system does not recognize it as the default app, so VLC settings are not updated with the system software. I ran into this issue with my LG Stylo G last year after an Android operating system update.  I hope this helps anyone with video playback problems on their ZTE Zmax Pro. I now make note that my phone IS NOT used on MetroPCS. It is unlocked and used on the H2O network, which is another pay as you go service, and the phone has not been modded.

Hi Kelli. Can you try using MX Player? Let me know if that works in playing your videos.

Hi Mekele. Which contacts app are you using? Are you still using the one preinstalled on the phone? Go to Settings > Apps > All > look for the contacts app you are using and check its permission.

Well, that doesn't look normal. With regards to call, for example here with my carrier, they have a 10 minute limit per call, you will have to dial again after that. I suggest that you take your phone back to have it check. Make sure to describe the issue so it can be resolved.

Unfortunately I have been experiencing the same thing. I plan on using my warranty to get a better phone, this is hazardous seeing as though anything may warrant a call for help and BOOM your phone not just cuts off but powers down completely and takes forever to power back on.

Hey this was a simple fix just make sure your accounts are recently synced with your phones and it should work no problem.

I have the same problem and cannot seem to fix it.  Has anyone figured out how to correct this?

Using Chrome, view an image then tap and hold on an image. A pop up menu will show up, tap "Save image". Hope that helps!

Hi Diana. Where are you getting the images from?

Press and hold the alarm you want to delete. An menu pops up allowing you to delete the alarm or edit it. 

When you tap the alarm, check if you see an X mark or a delete icon.
