“The Moto G4 Plus is a good investment in general when you want to buy a mainstream smartphone, because we cannot find any serious issues. Sure, ist is strange that you cannot use the fingerprint scanner as a Home button. There are more connectivity options by now as well, so there is still room for improvements. The GPS module is not really accurate, either, and the voice quality could also be improved.”

“All things considered, while not bad in any way, the Moto G4 Plus is likely destined to live in the shadow of its generic sibling. The camera and fingerprint upgrades it offers aren't really all that impressive. However, at a 25% price increase, they do harm the value aspect the Moto G family has come to be known for.”

“Lenovo has seamlessly continued Motorola's good work, refining this popular budget range and elevating expectations about what you can reasonably expect in a relatively cheap Android phone. The gap between the Moto G4 Plus and the latest batch of Android flagships is not as wide as I expected. It's a pleasurable device to use, and it represents good value for money.”

“The Moto G4 Plus brings with it a slew of much needed improvements to the Moto G range, and while there are some questionable design choices, this is definitely an impressive smartphone for the price.”

I bought Moto g 4 plus from amazon . from last few days i have been experiencing weird issue with my device. Turbo charging is not working at all. when i pluged in it shows charging .takes almost an hour for charging aprox 10 percent of battery . Also, while charging i faced some disgusting behaviour in phone. some apps get open and dancing . touch doesnt work at that time . the only way to overcome issue by locking phone. I tried charging phone from some other moto g plus charger and turbo charging works. Really its quite annoying after buying this phone for some good amount its showing cheap chinese quality . If hell no of customers facing similar issue wjy not manufacturer works on it or they can recalled there phone from market. Honestly they are selling defective item.

Same thing happened with me. My Moto G4 plus was charging @ 12% in 1 hr 20min. What was more ridiculous was that soon after putting the device on charge for the first time the mobile screen starred dancing, torch light started flickering, apps started getting on and off automatically. I didn't have any control over the device as it hanged completely. I was not even able to switch it off. Taking the matter up with Amazon. Lets see.

If your phone is powering on or off by itself try power cycling the device.

  1. Power the phone down.
  2. Inspect the battery contacts on the phone and battery. Look for corrosion or any damaged. Check the pins to ensure they are straight and aligned and that none are missing.
  3. Inpect the water indicator on the side of the battery. (square white or red tab)  If the water indicator is red, this indicates that the phone may be water damaged.  Water damaged phones can not be repaired.
  4. Inspect the power button to ensure it is not stuck in a down position or that it is not damaged
  5. Replace the battery. Wait a few minutes and see if the phone powers itself up.

If you continue to experience issues, perform a Factory Data Reset. Performing a Factory Data Reset will clear the phones memory and put the phone back to the original factory default state. Factory Data Reset is a tool used to remove everything that was imported, added or installed on the device. Keep in mind, when using this feature everything is deleted. Nothing stored on the MicroSD will be affected.

To reset your phone to factory settings and erase all the data on your phone,

  1. Touch the app tab, in the home screen to open the app menu.
  2. Touch Settings
  3. Touch SD card & phone storage
  4. Touch Master Clear

After resetting the phone, follow the above steps to verify the issue.

If you are still experiencing the issue after troubleshooting, your phone may have a hardware issue and will need to be analyzed by one of our Motorola technicians. Select an option below and continue to our repair submission process.

Hi all,

Unfortunately nothing can be done to fix issues on moto g4 & +. Lenovo/moto really f*d it up badly. Even if u get a replacement same problem will persist cos the whole product line is faulty. Don't waste ur money to replace battery and stuff cos its not gonna work. So my best advice would be to throw the phone in recycle bin and get some other phone.

Hi aman. Contact your carrier to get a copy of your bill. If you are pertaining to a copy of receipt, then it's the store where you bought the phone that you need to contact.

Can't find any official statement about it. Although some users suggest using apps like:
- Screen Burn-in Tool (link)

- Burn Fix (link)

Hi Pavan. I wouldn't suggest using a 3rd party app. Simply turn off wireless connections (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Mobile data) when not in use. Also, if you have a lot of social networking apps, I suggest that you turn off auto sync from those. Also lower the display brightness to the least possible that you're comfortable with.

Hi Anil. I'm pretty sure locally released phones have local languages as well. Can you check Settings > Language & input > Language, check if Hindi language is included there.

I suggest using a different home launcher app. Most have custom fonts.

Do you use the phone a lot? For example you play a lot of games and watch a lot of movies that make the phone hot? Last time I had the same problem, it was because the battery was broken.
