“Thanks to Android's software brains and Samsung's hardware flair, the Galaxy S is a very impressive smart-phone package -- albeit an oddly light one. The huge Super AMOLED screen is great, and you can freely ignore the occasionally clumsy Samsung widgets and apps in favour of your choice from the thousands in the Android Market. The downside of all this power is the Galaxy S' weedy battery life. But, for the pay-monthly price, we can forgive the plasticky case and incontinent battery.”

“If Samsung keeps on producing fantastic devices like the Samsung Captivate and Focus, there is no stopping them from creeping up to the top spot in the global scene. Even though they sport opposing platforms, the results in various categories are in fact relatively similar – and that's why they're both wonderful solutions in the smartphone realm. However, consumers that are shopping around right now are going to need to weigh the benefits offered by both platforms since they have their own unique perks. Windows Phone 7 is the newer of the two and employes a straightforward experience that's supplemented by its consistent responsiveness. All in all, you really can't go wrong with either of them!”

“Honestly, this is the best Android smartphone available to AT&T customers to date – and that's a fact! Not only does it easily trump all of the mid-range offerings released thus far for the carrier, but it stands tall amongst the elites in the Android world. With its lightning quick reflexes, navigating on the platform is very assuring as everything just moves so smoothly – which goes to show the processing prowess of its Hummingbird processor. And to tell you the truth, its customized Android experience is a refreshing new look when you take into consideration what US consumers have been limited to for the past year. In the design department, the Captivate is a compelling offering with its streamlined looks that are accented with some quality materials to make it feel solid all around. Finally, the crowning jewel seen with its Super AMOLED display is unparalleled as nothing yet comes close when it comes to sheer luminance, lush colors, and contrast ratios – it will easily enthrall gazers from afar. In the end, AT&T might not host a healthy amount of Android handsets, but this one will easily captivate consumers with its uplifting looks and tantalizing performance.”

“The Captivate is no doubt the best Android handset available from AT&T. It beats the Aria and Backflip hands down on many levels. It easily offers one of the best displays available in AT&T's entire offering. Some may not like the large size of the device (a result of the large display), and those people could be happy with the smaller Aria. The media performance of the Captivate is above par for Android devices. Additions to the music player software are welcome and appreciated. The camera software is more advanced, and happens to take great pictures, too. Even video captured with the Captivate is good.”

After receiving the third phone from rogers, you realize that the android platform will be ready in 2015. Battery last half day with email and phone calls only. No other apps running. Call clarity is subpar. Navigation is always behind and cannot be trusted. If you receive a call, navigation cras...
