“The Reclaim – by far is the best eco-device we have available to us. If you are looking to do some good for our planet and also looking for a nice looking device, this should be one to consider. Even without its green features the Reclaim stands proud with all the other messaging devices out there today. It looks similar to the Motorola Hint, or even a chunkier Samsung Cleo. What makes the Reclaim a desired device is that it’s that you can recycle 80% of it with 40% of the outer case being made from bio-plastics from corn. The innovation worked well here. Another eco-feature of the Reclaim is the charger, this is Energy Star approved and supposed to use 12 times less energy and tells you when it’s completed. We got about 4 hours of talk time.”
“We’ve been playing around with the Samsung Reclaim for a few days now, still testing this eco-beast out and will have a full review for you coming up soon.So far we can let you know we’re impressed with the form factor… this feels great in your hand and can honestly hardly notice that it’s in my pocket. If I was in the market for a cost effective messaging device that had a bonus of being great for the environment, the Reclaim is something to consider. It’s only $49.95 on a 3-year contract and is the best eco-device on the Canadian market today. This comes with a full slide out QWERTY keyboard and the ability to load up to 32 GB of memory with a micro SD card, has a 2 megapixel camera (can take video), a large 2.4 inch screen (resolution of 320×240). In the meantime of us finishing up our testing for the Reclaim, we took a look around the hardware, snapped a few pictures and shot a video of what quality you can expect to get.”
“I must say that I really enjoyed reviewing the Samsung Reclaim. As I indicated earlier, I hope this phone is a sign of good things yet to come for entry-level devices. As a Blackberry user I will admit that the Reclaim provides users the smartphone experience at a fraction of the cost.I was able to use GPS enabled navigation when I needed it, access my personal email, text easily, and make phone calls with no problems. You also get the benefits of a QWERTY device in a compact size that will never accidentally call someone from your pocket. In terms of improvements, I would say that much of my suggestions would be OS based and improving the feel of the keypad. I would definitely and gladly recommend this phone to anybody in the market for such a device as the Samsung Reclaim is surely a crowd pleaser. I give it a Highly Recommended rating.”

I really dont mind this phone one bit. It is very easy to use. Its not much of a hassel to use it. The keys are a bit small but you get used to them after a while if you have decent size finger nails. If your nails are too short then its a bit difficult to get the keys right. I like this phone be...

In Depth
The Samsung Reclaim is a full-QWERTY slider that offers a nod to the environment with its bio-plastic shell and efficient charging system. And, of course, it’s green. A nice shade of green.
The 2.4-inch, 320 x 240 pixel resolution display offers crisp images and accurate colors. The phone book has a 600 entry capacity but, interestingly, syncs with MS Exchange, a feature that will be welcomed by many.
Another subtle but very important feature of the Samsung Reclaim is that it offers threaded SMS, meaning you can view/read text messages in an IM format, where the conversation is continuous and unimpeded. So, rather than searching for individual texts from the same conversation, they will all be linked together automatically for your convenience. I would hope this trend continues and becomes the norm.
The Samsung Reclaim has GPS, MMS, a 3.5mm headset jack, MP3 player, 2MP camera with video, speakerphone and other meaningful features that people actually use.
When you add up the full QWERTY keypad, threaded SMS, GPS and music player, you get a versatile phone that should appeal to a broad demographic.
